Neodymium ring magnets are one of the most popular permanent magnet shapes widely used across many industries. These annular magnets are mostly axial magnetized as standard, and nickel-copper-nickel coating is the common surface treatment to prevent corrosion.

For general applications, the common grades are N35, N38, N40 and N42. N42 is the most universal option, balancing strong magnetic force and stable performance for normal temperature environments. If working temperature rises up to 120℃, customers will select high-temperature grades like N38H or N40H to avoid demagnetization.

These ring magnets , the biggest application field is speakers and audio transducers. They are also heavily applied in outer rotor BLDC motors, automotive position sensors, encoders and solenoid valves. Many consumer electronics use them for magnetic docking and wireless charging modules.
